Your first week: setup and the trial
2 min readUpdated
What the onboarding wizard sets up, what to do on day one, and what changes when the trial ends.
Signing up starts a 7-day trial of Pro with no card and nothing to cancel. You get the whole product for a week, which is deliberately long enough to journal a real trading week rather than to click around an empty account.
The onboarding wizard
Two steps, both skippable and both revisitable later from Settings:
- Profile — your display name and your trading account's name and starting capital. The capital figure is the one worth taking seriously; it is the denominator behind ROI and every risk percentage.
- Playbook — your first strategies. You can start from a template or write your own, and you can edit or version them at any time.
There is no plan step. The trial starts automatically, so there is no decision to make before you have used the product.
A sensible day one
- Set your account's starting capital correctly.
- Import your recent broker history so the metrics have something real to compute from.
- Set a max daily loss and a max drawdown in Settings → Plan. Choose numbers you would actually respect.
- Write down two or three strategies you genuinely trade, with their rules.
- Log your next trade by hand, including the rationale, before you know the outcome.
The rest of the week
Try to get one full cycle in: log trades as you take them, write a diary entry at the end of each day, and tag any rule you broke. At the end of the week the insights page has enough to say something about your discipline rather than just your results — which is the thing worth judging the product on.
When the trial ends
Your account moves to Free. Nothing is deleted and every metric keeps working; what changes is how many accounts and strategies you can keep, and that you can no longer upload new screenshots.
